Stolen Kit

Late this afternoon My car was stolen from outside my house in Walderslade. Having dropped off my Twins to be filled my Dive Rite wings & 3 sets of scubapro regs, weight belt black Gates dry suit and a box of assorted equipment were still in the boot of my car. The car was stolen within an hour of getting home and still day light the car was stolen by a window being smashed.

If you see any dive kit being advertised or hear of anything being sold on the cheap I would appreciate you letting me know.

What an absolute load of crap at this time of year. If you need anything kit wise then let me know, I'm sure in my loft there is enough gear to sink a ship. Really sorry to hear that Tad x

Hi Tad, that's awful news. I hope the car has just been 'joy' ridden (though that's not an appropriate term) and dumped with your kit still in it. I'd like to think that a two-bit car thief wouldn't have the nerve to try and sell the dive gear as it would soon be clear to anyone who bothers to ask that he knew nothing about diving the moment he tried and that, you imagine, would arouse suspicion. Similarly would any responsible person running a dive business be willing to buy kit of unknown provenance off someone they don't know? Sounds like a safety risk if nothing else. But, sadly , it does happen. Anything for a quick buck it seems. It's amazing what dive kit is sold or rather bought on Ebay. I hope it's all found very soon.

Having just gone through similar problems when some scumbag tried to steal my daughters car (they wrote it off in the attempt) I know how angry and fed up you must feel. I hope this has a happy ending Tad. I'm not diving for the rest of the year now, feel free to use my stuff.

Tad , you are welcome to use my kit too, the only draw back is that it's for a tall slim chap :-)

Yeah , Yeah , OK, it doesn't fit me either!

Thanks to everyone for the kind offers I have received, very much appreciated. I Havent heard anything from the police so I assume nothing will now be found.
The thought of someone going through my stuff has driven me nuts and if could have caught them I would have removed certain parts of their anatomy inflated those bits and used them as SMB's.
